FIRST Tech Challenge (Grades 7-12)

Our alumni are exploring the world of FTC for the first time, along with their team of 7th grade students. Both student and mentors are learning from each other.

FIRST Robotics Competition (Grades 9-12)

Our Alumni support two local FIRST Robotics Competition teams through weekly mentorship throughout the year. The alumni pass down their knowledge on how to build a robot as well as how to work on a team given a difficult task and a hard deadline.

Columbia Educational Robotics Foundation

The Columbia Educational Robotics Foundation is a 501c3 organization that works to plan and facilitate the growth of robotics and STEM activities in the Columbia area. the Our president acts as a representative of the collegiate robotics effort in Columbia by maintaining board membership.

SWE Girl Scout Day

Starting in February 2017 we worked with the University of Missouri Chapter of Society of Women Engineers to run a day long event where over 100 mid-Missouri girl scouts got to try their hand at robotics and other STEM activities.

Boy Scout Merritt Badge Class

A few of our alumni help each year to run a Boy Scout Merritt Badge class on the University’s campus. During this class students learn to program robots with NXT kits and EV3 software to complete tasks. After finishing the class the students have completed the requirements to receive their Robotics Merritt Badge.

FRC 3792 – Army Ants

Five of our alumni attend weekly meetings to mentor these high school students Mentors travel with team to Regional Competition. Team uses our Ri3D robot during the beginning to build season to test newly created code while their robot's mechanical system is being built.

FTC 13032 – Ant Colony

Two of our alumni coach the Jefferson Middle School FIRST Tech Challenge team each week. The team is made up of 8 students, 2 being previous FLL members, working to create a robot during their rookie season. They will compete in their first competition January 14th, 2018.
